Growing up, her true childhood ambition was to become a lawyer, but in hopes of traveling and a new experience she stopped by a modeling contest at the age of 17. Her professional career started in 1989 when she left Prague for Paris shortly after Velvet Revolution. And since that first meeting the rest of her life has been a series of magazin covers and catwalk shows. She has worked with the to photographers from patrick Demarchelier to Mario Testino and Peter Lindberg. In the peak of her career she has never lost touch with the real world. Her visit to a Prague orphanage has turned into a life long passion of helping abandoned children. Now the Tereza Maxova Foundation has more than 16,000 children under it's patronage.
