Profession: Actress
Small, dark, mousy actress best known for two continuing characterizations: the faithful wife of prizefighter Sylvester Stallone in the "Rocky" series, and the volatile daughter of Mafioso Marlon Brando in the Godfather series directed by her brother, Francis Ford Coppola. After making her screen debut in Gas-s-s-s (1970), Talia (who married composer David Shire and took his surname) played Connie Corleone in The Godfather (1972) and The Godfather, Part II (1974), snagging an Oscar nomination for the latter interpretation of the character. She picked up a second nomination for her first turn as Adrian in Rocky (1976). Both characters matured over the course of their respective series.
