Profession: Supermodel
I was in the newspaper at age seven. I submitted a question to the newspaper's section for children. My picture was in the paper and I was interviewed. That was my fifteen minutes of fame. I was later an AKA debutante and I was in the paper for that as well. I finally gave in and went to modeling school at age twelve. It was a unique and fun experience, but I didn't think much of it. I signed with a local agency but only got a few jobs due to the market that I was in (Virginia sucks for modeling) and became the agency 'makeup artist,' instead, as makeup was much more fun (and lucrative) for me. I decided not to work at a counter and be a slave to the makeup brush, but to go to college - so I tried to get into something more solid into high school. I chose journalism. One summer I was chosen out of five-hundred students to specially attend a summer workshop for journalism after being editor for my school paper in high school. I produced and was photojournalist for the paper for the workshop - where my work was featured as some of the best writing and photojournalism the workshop had seen in years. I was then determined to pursue journalism and write. I went to England and got a Bachelor's in Communications.
