Myles abandoned a deferred place at university in order to pursue her acting career. Since 1996, she has appeared in a number of English films and television productions, including a supporting role in the 2003 film, Underworld. In 2006, Myles co-starred with American actor James Franco in the romantic drama Tristan and Isolde, playing the role of Isolde. She will appear as Madame de Pompadour in a 2006 episode of Doctor Who, The Girl in the Fireplace.
