Shari Belafonte - Fact Sheet

From the moment she appeared on the scene in the infamous Calvin Klein ads, and in the very popular series, "Hotel" Shari Belafonte has been working nonstop both in the U.S. and internationally as an actress, model, writer and singer. Her multifaceted career includes moderating and voice-overs. She also has producing credits for theater, public and network television, and has a movie in development at Showtime. In addition to her affiliation with numerous children's, animal and environmental causes, she has also become the international spokesperson for the Starlight Children's Foundation. She is currently in the music studio recording and producing her next CD, which she describes as "Way out There." Futuristic short stories accompany the Techno/Goa music, which is part of a multimedia package due out in the fall of 2000. She also joins iNextTV, the web channel co-created by Walter Cronkite, as their travel show host. Shari lives with her husband, actor Sam Behrens, in the San Fernando Valley, along with their three dogs. When they're not busy working, they golf, ski, fly and travel. Shari always has a camera along for the ride.
