Her career took off when she was a young teenager in Lakeland, Florida. She was discovered at a model search contest in a local mall. Within no time, her bags were packed and she was ready for the bright lights of New York in hopes to pursue her dreams of modeling. With Christy Turlington as her inspiration, she had a good head on her shoulders and was ready for the competitive world of modeling. In May 1996 GUESS? was looking for a hot, new face to star in their upcoming campaign and Rhea did not go unnoticed. She got the job and Dewey Nicks photographed her along side fellow model James King. Rhea had stars in her hazel eyes and she flashed that beautiful smile that left everyone smitten.
