I was always teased about the size of my arms, as a kid I was always strong and always looked muscular. I have been lifting weights seriously now for 4 years. When I started lifting, I had little knowledge of muscle building and technique. Since then, I have made tremendous progress and have become more educated on the human body, on the effects of food, metabolism, eating habits and control. Ian Walling, my first trainer here in Toronto, really taught me a lot. Experiencing the industry, getting into competitions and just keeping my eyes and ears open has also helped greatly. On reactions to her physique: "Their reactions are ones of surprise most of the time. When I'm fully-clothed, I don't look that big or that muscular, but when they see photos of me or me on-stage, they are shocked at how muscular I am.
