Marguerite made her acting debut at age 11 when she did one shot performance on the hit TV series The Wonder Years. When she was 14 she was cast in her first big screen film, The Mighty Ducks as Connie. This was followed by a stint on the teen show Blossom before returning to the big screen for a Mighty Ducks sequel. The following year she appeared in another sequel, Free Willy 2 which was followed by a third Mighty Ducks film. Around this time she took a few smaller roles in picture like Wag The Dog and Mighty Joe Young before starting classes at Vassar College. However she still found time for a TV movie called My Husband's Secret Life with Anne Archer. After graduating from Vassar College with a degree in Political Science, Moreau starred in Robert Mickelson's mockumentary' Off the Lip and Klaus Knoesel's Rave Macbeth. The latter, a modern retelling of Shakespeare's play, was filmed in Germany and inaugurated Sony's new 24P 1080 high-definition video cameras. She also played opposite such names as Janeane Garofalo, Molly Shannon and David Hyde Pierce in the Meatballs-style camp comedy Wet Hot American Summer.
