Profession: Musician
In 1996, LeAnn immediately captured everyone with her debut single "Blue," not only because she had strong vocals that were similiar to Patsy Cline, but that she was only 13 years old. LeAnn began singing as a child, performing at local talent contests and releasing her first album by the age of 11. A disc jockey in Dallas by the name of Bill Mack, was impressed by her talents, he decided to take her under his wing and planned to break her into the mainstream. Giving her the song "Blue" to record, debuted at number threeon teh pop charts, and sold over 123,000 copies within the first week of the release. In 1997, she released two albums, Unchained Melody and You Light Up My Life which followed by Sittin' On Top Of The World in 1998. The release of her self titled third album was released in early 2001 and the next year she emerged with a sexy flair but soon retruned to her contemporary country look in 2005 for the release of This Woman.
