With an impressive body of work that encompasses film, television and theater, Laura Harring has emerged as one of Hollywood's most versatile and sought after talents. Harring received both critical and popular acclaim for her performance in David Lynch's award winning Mulholland Drive, including comparisons to screen legends such as Ava Gardner by the International Herald Tribune and Rita Hayworth by Roger Ebert. It was for this role that Harring received the ALMA Award for "Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture", and the Golden Eagle Award for "Best Actress in a Motion Picture." Harring is currently starring in the Emmy nominated, award winning show The Shield, playing a defense attorney, opposite Michael Chicklis. She just completed production on the HBO film Walkout, a film depicting the true story of a family suffering from the education injustices plaguing the inner city communities. Walkout was directed by Edward James Olmos.
