After being voted as the girl most likely to model in her high school class she entered a bikini contest and won. Spurred by her success she entered the Miss Tropic pageant by Playboy magazine before being chosen as Playmate of the Month in August 1997. Described by Playboy as having an Olympian figure she has also starred in a number of Playboy videos. Kalin has a tattoo of a leopard on the right hand side of the lower part of her stomach. Kalin modeled for Hawaiian Tropic in the late 1990s and was seen again in a Playboy "Girls of Hawaiian Tropic" pictorial in July 1999.
