Profession: Supermodel
At the age of 15, I took a traintrip with a girlfriend to the big city of Amsterdam. There I was approached on the streets by a booker of a model agency, who asked me to participate in a photo session. After talking to my parents, I nevertheless decided to do the photo shooting. Just to see what would happen next. Pictures from that session were send to agencies in Milan, Paris, New York and several other places. Before I actually realised it I found myself (together with my mother, of course) flying to Milan for my first assignment. The model agency offered me a contract then and, still being a highschool student, I asked and received special permission for a time-out period from school for one year. I’ve never seen the inside of that school again. Today, I have been working as a model for over 10 years and never regretted it for a second. Of course, the extensive traveling and the long working days make this profession a very exhausting one from time to time. But I also have visited so many wonderful and marvellous places and met so many interesting people, that I realise I have a unique and privileged life.
