Helen Hunt has always been known as one of the hardest working actresses in Hollywood, and has developed her solid work ethic by being in the business since her appearances in The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Her other notable television appearances include a regular stint on St. Elsewhere, and her role as Jamie on NBC's Mad About You that won 4 consecutive Emmys. On the big screen, she had moderate success in the 1980s with Project X alongside Matthew Broderick, but it took her years to achieve another commercial success. When it came, it came big; Twister with Bill Paxton was one the biggest movies of 1996, Pay It Forward with Kevin Spacey was a critical success, and What Women Want with Mel Gibson will inevitably become a huge success too.
