Profession: Actress
Mastering English as well as Afrikaner, Embeth came to Los Angeles in 1991, after a meeting with an agent in London, and had two importants rules in 1992 for the NBC Network : first "Til Death Us Do Part", a TV film, where her partners were Arliss Howard and Treat Williams, and "Deadly Matrimony", a TV series where she played with Brian Dennehy. Her consecration came one year after, when she played for first time for American's Studios, the well-known movie of Sam Raimi "Evil Dead III - Army of Darkness". In this "horror comedy" movie, she played Sheila, a Middle Ages countrywoman persecuted by next world's forces, and played with the star Bruce Campbell. This movie, the third in the series, was particularly appreciated, and has even reached the 89 th rank in the all-time best movies chart. This definitive success finally opened doors of Hollywood for her: Steven Spielberg himself sought her out to play the rule of Helen Hirsh, a young Jewish persecuted by Nazis, in "Schindler's List - This list is Life". Although her appearance was brief, it was well received. Thanks to the impact of Spielberg's movie, Embeth's talent was acknowledged by a worldwide audience.
