As a young child in the 80's, Elizabeth auditioned for the world famous Mickey Mouse Club, known for launching the careers of Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears. Although the casting directors were blown away by the little 8 year old with the big voice, young Elizabeth was, at the time, too pudgy and tomboyish for Mainstream Television. Not one to be discouraged, Elizabeth became involved in Musical Theater where she could be as loud and as wild as needed to get all of her childhood energy out. During a singing lesson Elizabeth told her vocal coach "I want to sing like Mariah Carey," but got an answer she did not want to hear. "Sorry honey you are an Opera singer and always will be." Briefly disappointed, Elizabeth went home and put in a tape of the Phantom of the Opera and began to sing. To her surprise she was easily able to mimic the voice of Christine (Sarah Brightman) at 9 years of age. Newly inspired, she began training in Classical Singing and Musical Theater. Elizabeth got her start in modeling by entering beauty contests as a child, however, only winning most of the talent portions of the pageants was not good enough for Elizabeth, so at the age of 15 she began a strong workout regimen and diet which helped her lose the baby fat and get many commercials and print jobs, including several National campaigns.
