Profession: Musician
Deborah was the frontwoman for Blondie in the 1970's. Her initial start in the music industry came in the late '60s with hte folk act, The Wind In The Willows. Deborah was also a Playboy Bunny but it wasn't exactly what she wanted to do. Oddly enough, her waitressing job seemed to of pointed her into the punk rock cliques of New york City. In 1973 Deborah met Chris Stein, he was impressed with her persona and liked her all girl rock band, The Stilettos. A year later, she left her girl band and formed Angel & The Snake with Chris. By 1974 they have called themselves Blondie. Awkward enough they selected that name from all the obnoxious truck drivers catcalls "Hey Blondie, give us a screw" as she passed. Over the next eight years they won the world over with their post-punk sound. In 1981 Deborah went solo while Blondie was still hitting the charts. The following year Chris was ill with a genetic disease and Deborah stepped out of the spotlight to aid Chris back to health. By 1986 Rockbird was released and everyone loved it, but as quick as she was back, she quickly left again to pursue an acting career. She kept herself pretty much reserved and in 1999 they had a Blondie reunion and released their first album in 17 years.
