Celine began her singing career in her parents' piano bar when she was just five years old. By the time she was twelve Celine had written one of her first songs titled "Ce N'etait Qu'un Reve" ("It Was Only A Dream"). Her mother and brother helped her record it and ship it off to a manager named Rene Angelil whose name they found on the back of an album. Once Celine got a chance to perform in front of Angelil, he fell in love with her talent that he mortgaged his house just to pay her first two albums, producing a local number one single. At the age of 18 Celine saw a performance by Michael Jackson and told Angelil that she wanted to be a star just like him. After 18 months and a new make over for Celine, she was set. In 1990 she had a breakthrough album released in the US titled "Unison". Her big breakthrough came when she made a duet with Peabo Bryson on the theme song "Beauty and the Beast". In 1998 she got romantically involved with her longtime manager Angelil. For many years they both kept their romance a secret and in 1994 they celebrated their wedding with 250 guests. In 2001 Celine gave birth to her baby boy and decided to take sometime off to be with her family. Making her great comeback and announcing her new contract with Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas she has been putting on shows five days a week and also has a contract with Chrysler.
