A former art student, Candida Royalle was introduced to nude modeling while still in school. She posed for figure classes, then tried modeling for men's magazines. With little effort, she broke into sex films in 1976 and became quite popular. After racking up 50 film credits, she decided to move into the director's chair. In the early '80's, she began to write and produce sex films and created Femme Productions, her own line of erotic entertainment. She has re-entered the ranks of erotic filmmakers after a hiatus, this time with a 35mm film production, Revelations, which, while being long overdue, was certainly worth the wait. Her company also released the very successful couples films, Lovers 1&2, which are one of a kind feature movies. Candida has signed an exclusive deal with Adam & Eve, the world's largest adult mail order company, to produce three productions a year the first one is M y Surrender."
