When I came to this country my first job was in housekeeping. I was responsible for cleaning a local gym. Since I had to clean the gym at night (when it was closed and nobody was around) I would experiment with the different type of weights and machines and sometimes slip into the tanning booth for some quick color. I became interested in fittness by realizing that if I performed a specific amount of "hard" work in the gym it reaped amazing rewards as in such things as lean muscle mass, well being and confidence. I became amazed by the way my body reacted to working out. The more positive shape I created the harder I wanted to work out the next day. I enjoyed what stared back at me from the mirror and reveled in people's comments. Today I cherish most the gift of being able to inspire other people into getting fit and in shape.
