In the 80's Aimee led the post-new wave pop group "Til Tuesday. After the release of the third album, Aimee decided to embark on a solo album titled "Whatever". In the summer of 1993 her solo album received more positive feedback than "Til Tuesday's" albums. The album was a small hit that stayed at the charts for only 7 weeks. In early 1995 Aimee had another hit "That's Just What You Are" for the hit series "Melrose Place". Following the success of the single, Aimme was set to release her second solo album in the spring of 1995, but her record label Imago filed for bankruptcy before it's release. After a short court case to be released from Imago, Aimee went on to signing with DGC records and went on to release many other successful singles and soundtracks.
